Rising unemployment in Thailand

Labels: ,

Last a few days ago, one of my friend came to chat me via msn. She said that she went to the job fair in Bangkok. When she enquired information from my company regarding some vacancies, they replied that they don’t want any foreigners. I also found out in some news that thai visitors and foreigners seek new jobs at a job fair in Bangkok on Friday 13th March 2009. Thailand is facing sharply rising unemployment as the global financial crisis takes hold and downsizing many companies everywhere.

I found out that most of the people in Bangkok don’t know about downsizing companies situated at downtown. One of my friends’ company situated at downtown also forced to resign many staffs. They announced to join the meeting to all department managers. After the meeting 40% of company staffs including some programmers are forced to resign from the company. World’s economic crisis effected the whole world’s business. It is not a good news for fresh graduates. It will be quite difficult to get the job for fresh graduates who has no working experiences.
